On the visit to Jeju Island, my friends and I took a ferry to Udo Island. Udo Island is a small island off the coast of Jeju and is well known for peanuts and their beautiful ocean scenic views. I highly recommend eating peanut ice cream if visiting Udo Island!
There are two ports from Jeju to get to Udo Island - Jongdal Port or Seongsan Port. We opted to go through Seongsan Port to take the ferry to Udo Island and it cost 10,500 KRW roundtrip per person for a 15-minute ferry ride.
There were several options to explore the island, but we chose to rent electric bikes. For a daily rate of 20,000 KRW, we leisurely biked around the entire Island which took us four hours with multiple rest stops and lunch. However, you can bike the entire island for just two hours without any stops.
Udo Island reminded me a lot like Hawaii. It is a great place to do a day trip if you have an extra day in Jeju. I don’t think it is necessary to stay overnight as there were not many things to do around the island other than enjoy the beautiful ocean views.
