I landed safely back in South Korea. Crash Landing on You reference ;)
My friends and I decided to do something very adventurous and out of our comfort zone before the weather gets too cold. Thus we decided to go paragliding in Danyang! Danyang and Yangpyeong are both popular destinations to go paragliding in South Korea. We choose Danyang as it is a world-famous paragliding spot and ranked the 6th best place for paragliding in the world!
To get to Danyang, we took the subway to the terminal bus station (35 minutes) and then a bus from Seoul to Danyang which was 2 hours and 10 minutes long.
We opted to go thru Ascendia as they spoke English and had good reviews. This company seemed to target foreigners as we met a large group of exchange students who attend Yonsei University. Coincidentally, this company is also where Enhypen went paragliding. Overall, I had a great experience with Ascendia and would recommend to anyone wanting to try paragliding in South Korea. The view in Danyang is insanely beautiful. These pictures do not nearly capture Danyang's beauty.
In total with the GoPro video, this experience costed 115,000 won which was equivalent to $80 USD at the time. Without the video it costed 85,000 (about $60 USD).
This was definitely such an exhilarating yet special memory for me :)
